SPONSOR A CHILD

About Sponsor A Child

In March 2024, Hope for Humanity International built permanent bathrooms and shower houses for an indigenous community named Comunidad Shuar Kaapar nestled within the Ecuadorian Amazon. While doing so, a great need was identified within the community: access to education. Due to the fact that the families within the communities survive off of around $5-7 a day, they cannot afford to send their children to school beyond the 7th grade due to transportation fees, uniform costs, food costs, school supplies, etc. As a result, the dreams of countless children are crushed before they even reach their teens. In response to this, H4H is pleased to launch our sponsor a child program to help these children continue their education. There are two requirements for continued enrollment in this program: the child must remain in school and must complete monthly Bible lessons that help them grow closer to Christ. As a sponsor, you will receive quarterly letters and updates from your sponsored child.  It should be noted that the community is an indigenous community whose first language is Shuar and second language is Spanish. They speak fluent Spanish but no English. All letters and communication will be translated from Spanish to English unless you speak Spanish yourself! Thank you for joining us in making dreams come true. We are so thankful for your support! Our only request is that should you choose to sponsor a child, please commit to walking with them for at least a couple of years. These children need to know someone cares about them and that they have someone they can count on. God bless you!

Who Are The Urgent Children?

The children marked as urgent in this program are given the highest priority because they will not be able to attend high school next school year unless they find a sponsor. The community in which they live does not have a high school, so when children in the community reach high school age they must attend school in the nearest city over an hour away from the community. This comes with extra expenses, such as transportation, uniforms, lunches, school supplies, etc that their families cannot afford.
