HAMFREY MUKISA
Hamfrey is a bright young boy currently in 4th grade. He lives with his mother, Kabatesi, in Kasana. His father, Sunday William, passed away, leaving his mother as the sole caregiver for him and his two siblings.
Life has not been easy for Hamfrey’s family. His mother depends on small-scale farming to provide food and meet basic needs. The little she grows is mostly for home consumption, with very little left to sell. This makes it extremely difficult for her to afford school fees, uniforms, and learning materials. As a result, keeping Hamfrey in school is a constant struggle.
Despite these challenges, Hamfrey enjoys school and is eager to learn. He dreams of completing his education and one day being able to support his family. His determination is clear; he attends class whenever he can and participates actively, even when resources are scarce.
Hamfrey’s story reflects the resilience of many children in Kasana who long for education but face daily obstacles. With support, Hamfrey can remain in school, receive the education he deserves, and work toward a brighter future for himself and his family.
